US President Joe Biden announced a massive disaster in Louisiana and requested federal aid to improve recovery efforts in the areas attacked by Hurricane Ida, the White House told on Sunday.

“Support can include temporary housing, home repairs, low-cost loans to cover not insured property damages, and anything to help people and business owners recover from the disaster,” the White House added. Hurricane Ida landed as a devastating category four storm, turned to Louisiana from the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, turning out power for hundreds and thousands of people.
