On Thursday, Capgemini, the French outsourcing major said that it has completed the USD 4-billion deal to acquire I-Gate Corporation.

It said in a statement, “Capgemini on Thursday announced that it has completed the acquisition of Igate Corporation”.

The company announced it on a day when the country’s fair trade regulator Competition Commission announced its approval for the acquisition.

The chairman and chief executive of Capgemini Paul Hermelin said, “Our combined operations in India have now reached the size to compete at par with the world leaders in our industry”.
