Shares of Captain Polyplast Ltd were trading in the green and almost 2% higher on 18 August after the company announced securing a Rs 6 crore order from the Government of Maharashtra. 

Captain Polyplast announced in a stock exchange filing that it secured a Letter of Empanelment from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The company will supply, install, and commission 200 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems, valued at Rs 5.97 crore (GST included), under the PM Kusum B Scheme – “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump” Yojana.

The project will serve farmers across Maharashtra with 3HP, 5HP, and 7.5HP pumps and includes a five-year warranty, maintenance, and remote monitoring. Captain Polyplast aims to complete the project within one year, with installations finished within 60 days of receiving the work order.

Specialising in agriculture solutions, Captain Polyplast designs and markets drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, pipes, filters, and accessories that promote water conservation and boost crop yields. The company also provides solar products such as pumps, heaters, and streetlights, along with water-soluble fertilizers. Additionally, under its Propel brand, it manufactures polymers used in packaging, pipes, and films. Beyond products, Captain Polyplast installs irrigation systems and offers advisory services to support modern farming practices.

At 3:30 pm, the shares of Captain Polyplast closed 0.14% higher at Rs 70.65 on BSE.
