The Sugar stock surges 5.15 percent intraday on Wednesday as CCEA has approved interest free loan to the sugar industry.

An interest free loan worth Rs 6,000 crore has been approved to the sugar sector by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA).

The sugar industry was facing the prising problem as the cost of production at present is at Rs 25-28 per kg while the selling price is Rs 22 per kg.
