Ceigall India shares touched a day high of Rs 383.80 on 30 September after the firm won a Rs 214.52 crore stone mining contract in Bihar.
Ceigall India Limited told the exchanges on 30 September that the Bihar government’s Department of Mines and Geology has picked it to mine stone blocks in the Nawada district.
The company got a letter of intent, a formal go-ahead that comes before the final paperwork, by email on 29 September.
Bidders competed for the contract in an online auction, and Ceigall came out on top.
The deal runs for five years and is worth Rs 214.52 crore, excluding GST and other taxes.
The first year carries a value of Rs 28.82 crore. That amount then goes up by 20% every year.
The site is Bhadokhara, Block-D, listed as Lot-4. Its minable reserve is 4,19,300 cubic metres a year, which adds up to 20,96,500 cubic metres over the five years.
It is a domestic order. It is not a related-party deal. Ceigall’s promoters have no interest in the department that awarded it.
Stone mining sits outside the roads, flyovers and bridges that the infrastructure firm is best known for.
The company also rewarded shareholders with a dividend of Re 0.50 a share, and the stock went ex-dividend on 11 September.
In the year ended 31 March 2026, its consolidated revenue rose 17% to Rs 4,022 crore.
At 13:55 pm, shares were trading at Rs 378.05 on the NSE, up by 0.13% from the previous close of Rs 377.55.
It’s up 10.75% over the past month and 39.14% so far this year, though it has lost 2.78% in the last week. The 52-week high stands at Rs 405.70, hit on 30 June.
