Ceigall India hit a day high of Rs 316.55 after winning a Rs 274.08 crore road contract from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
The Punjab-based infrastructure firm said it received a Letter of Acceptance from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for a stretch of the Frontier Highway in Arunachal Pradesh.
The order isn’t Ceigall’s alone. It’s being executed through a joint venture with Rajinder Infrastructure, where Ceigall holds a 70% stake and its partner holds the rest.
The project covers a road stretch running from km 17.812 to km 55.377 on the Bile-Migging section of NH-913.
Construction is expected to take 48 months, with a five-year maintenance period to follow once the road is built. MoRTH issued the acceptance letter on August 18. This isn’t a one-off win either.
Just a day earlier, Ceigall’s other joint venture, this time with Sushee Infra Mining, landed four separate orders from the same ministry worth a combined Rs 2,149.62 crore, also for Frontier Highway stretches in Arunachal Pradesh.
Between the two joint ventures, Ceigall has now disclosed road projects worth close to Rs 2,423.70 crore in the state over just two days. The order wins follow a solid June quarter for the company.
Consolidated net profit rose 15.5% year-on-year to Rs 61 crore, while revenue climbed 16% to Rs 970 crore. Profitability also improved, with EBITDA up 32% to Rs 143.8 crore and margins widening to 14.8% from 13% a year earlier.
Ceigall India closed the session at Rs 313.65 on the NSE, up 1.46% from the previous close of Rs 309.15.
