Coca-Cola India Net profit falls 2% to Rs 619 Cr in FY20

Consumer goods firm, Coca-Cola India on Thursday reported a 2 per cent fall in its net consolidated profit of Rs 619.3 crore for FY20, against a net profit of Rs 632.26 crore in FY19, according to the data source from Tofler.
During FY20, the company’s total income was 18.16 per cent up at Rs 2,812.07 crore, as compared to its total income of Rs 2,379.78 crore in FY19. Its revenue from operations rose 18.63 per cent to Rs 2,741.54 crore in 2019-20, against Rs 2,310.92 crore a year-ago. Income from other sources contributed Rs 70.52 crore to the financial year ended on 31, March 2020.
The company’s spokesperson said that the drop in the profit margins was on the account of marketing expenditures, said Coca-Cola India spokesperson. He said, “Our performance in the last financial year was led by strong volumes across portfolio, driven by better operational execution and availability along with improved consumer demands.”
Beverages major on account of current financial year said that due to the pandemic outbreak there was uncertainty around, as a result impacted ultimately. So, the company’s full-year financial and operating results cannot be estimated properly at this time. However, the company has witnessed recovery in consumer sentiments and consumption trends, it added.
