Dabur India Q2 Net Profit 20% Up at Rs 482.86 Crore

Indian consumer goods company, Dabur on Tuesday reported a 19.6 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit of Rs 482.86 crore for the quarter ended on 30 September, against a net profit of Rs 403.64 crore in the year-ago period.
During the September quarter, the company’s consolidated revenue from operations rose 13.7 per cent at Rs 2,516 crore on a year-on-year (YoY) basis. The company’s ayurvedic healthcare, hygiene and nutrition portfolio demand helped the company for reporting a 19.8 per cent jump in domestic FMCG business. Its domestic healthcare business which comprises of Dabur honey, Dabur Chyawanprash, and Honitus was 49 per cent up during the quarter, it added.
“Our domestic healthcare business reported a strong 49% growth, with the recent consumer-relevant innovations contributing to around 5-6% of our revenue. Our international business has also staged a smart recovery and reported a growth of 5.5% despite the key GCC market continuing to face macro-economic headwinds,” said Mohit Malhotra, CEO, Dabur India Ltd.
The maker of Real juices and Vatika hair oil said volumes in India were 16 per cent up for the quarter ended on 30 September. Its skin care business continued to struggle during the quarter, but there was strong demand for its newly launched personal hygiene products which helped the company to report a 38 per cent growth in home and personal care business.
