Chennai-based ace investor Dolly Khanna added Chennai Petroleum Ltd to her portfolio in Q1FY23.

Dolly Khanna’s name appears on the list of individual shareholders who own 1% or more of the company for the April-June 2022 quarter. Her name disappeared from the list for the January-March 2022 quarter. That means ace investors bought new company shares in the first quarter of this fiscal year. However, it’s hard to tell whether she bought the entire company in one quarter or earlier.

According to exchange regulations, listed companies must invest in the name of shareholders who hold more than 1% of the company’s shares. So, it’s hard to tell if Dolly Khanna bought all of the stock this quarter, some in previous quarters, and some in Q1FY23.
