In August month, the domestic passenger car sales rose 6.06 percent to 1,63,093 units as compared to 1,53,781 units of last year during the same time period.

Whereas the sales of motorcycles fell 9.59 percent to 8,23,053 units last month from 9,10,312 units a year ago, according to the released data of Society Indian Auto mobile Manufacturers  (SIAM).

The total two wheeler sales was declined 2.98 percent to 13,05,350 units compared to 13,45,506 units in the same month previous year.
