Earthquake of 5.3 Magnitude Hits Bikaner

An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 hit Rajasthan’s Bikaner at 5.24 am on July 21, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) said. There were no reports of any loss of life or damage to the property.


“Earthquake of Magnitude 5.3 happened on 21-07-2021, 05:24:29 IST, Lat: 29.19 & Long: 70.05, Depth: 110 Km, Location: 343km WNW of Bikaner, Rajasthan, India,” the NCS tweeted. The depth of the earthquake was 110 km, it stated. According to the news, the place of the earthquake incident was 343km WNW of Bikaner.


Earlier, an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 hit Leh at around 5 am on the same day, NCS added. “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 21-07-2021, 04:57:46 IST, Lat: 34.20 & Long: 77.78, Depth: 200 Km, Location: 19km ENE of Leh, Laddakh,” it said. Meghalaya’s Tura also felt an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 at around 2 am, the NCS reported.
