Shares of EMS Ltd gained 2% on Wednesday after the company emerged as the lowest bidder for a sewerage project worth around Rs 218.65 crore in Rajasthan.
The project has been awarded by the Directorate of Local Bodies, Government of Rajasthan, and covers sewerage and related work across six Urban Local Bodies in Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and Churu districts.
The project has an execution period of 18 months, followed by a 10-year operation and maintenance period. EMS is currently awaiting the formal Letter of Award.
The latest contract is important for EMS as it adds to a growing pipeline of water and wastewater projects. The company has been actively bidding for government infrastructure projects across Rajasthan and other northern states, helping improve its medium-term revenue visibility.
The Rs 218.65 crore project also marks another major order addition for EMS within a short period. During August, the company secured L1 status for a Rs 222.46 crore water infrastructure project in Udaipur and a Rs 190.86 crore water treatment plant project in Rajasthan.
It also secured a Rs 129.80 crore sewerage project in Jodhpur and a Rs 105.81 crore sewerage work order from UP Jal Nigam in Varanasi.
The company’s recent order flow comes as it looks to strengthen its position in water supply, sewerage and wastewater treatment. EMS had an order book of around Rs 2,080 crore as of March 31, 2026, according to industry data.
At 1:05 pm, the shares of EMS were trading 0.56% higher at Rs 389 on NSE.
