Shares of Enviro Infra Engineers Ltd skyrocketed nearly 10% on Wednesday, 09 September, after the company announced a Rs 189.99 crore EPC contract for a 180 MW wind power project in Maharashtra.
The order was secured through its step-down subsidiary, Suyog Urja, which has received the contract from Tata Power Renewable Energy for the development of the 180 MW NTPC wind power project at Parli, Maharashtra. The contract is valued at Rs 189.99 crore, excluding GST, and is scheduled to be completed by March 31, 2027.
Under the agreement, Suyog Urja will handle several important parts of the project. These include wind turbine generator foundation works, supply of reinforcement steel and geotechnical work. The company will also undertake balance-of-plant activities, develop a 39-acre secure storage yard and coordinate right-of-way requirements for the movement of materials.
The scope also includes construction and commissioning of a 33 kV transmission line, along with permanent and temporary roads, pathways and crane pads needed for project execution. The order is significant because it expands Enviro Infra’s presence beyond its traditional water and wastewater infrastructure business into renewable energy-related EPC work.
The latest contract also adds to the company’s order visibility. Enviro Infra had already secured more than Rs 2,240 crore of new orders since March 2026, according to earlier company updates, strengthening its revenue pipeline over the coming quarters.
The renewable energy opportunity is also growing rapidly in India. The country added a record 6.05 GW of wind capacity in FY26, taking total installed wind capacity to 58.14 GW by July 2026. A 43 GW pipeline of wind projects under construction is expected to support further growth in the sector.
At around 12:32 pm, Enviro Infra Engineers shares were trading near Rs 210.26, after touching the day’s high of Rs 215. The stock was up around 7.17% at the time, according to market data.
