Escorts Kubota Shares Rise 5% on Strongest September Tractor Sales

Escorts Kubota
The company expects strong demand to continue for the rest of the year.

Shares of Escorts Kubota Ltd surged 5% to touch a day’s high of Rs 3,699.90 on 1st October, after the company reported its highest-ever monthly sales of 18,267 tractors in September 2025, up 47.6% from 12,380 units in the same month last year.

Domestic sales reached 17,803 tractors, a 48.5% rise from 11,985 units last year. Meanwhile, exports grew 17.5%, with 464 tractors shipped abroad compared to 395 last September.

The company expects strong demand to continue for the rest of the year. This is due to the positive industry outlook, favourable rural conditions, good monsoon rains, improved water reservoir levels, the festive season, and a recent GST rate cut on tractors and farm machinery.

However, sales in its construction equipment (CE) division fell 19% in September. There were 413 machines sold compared to 510 in the same month last year. The company noted challenges such as monsoon disruptions, project delays, and rising costs. Nonetheless, it expects a recovery later in the fiscal year, supported by government infrastructure projects.

In the June quarter, Escorts Kubota posted a net profit of Rs 1,397 crore, up from Rs 302 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue was Rs 2,500 crore, slightly down 3% from Rs 2,574 crore.

At 1:50 PM, the shares of Escorts Kubota were trading 4.78% higher at Rs 3,611.50 on NSE.
