For the Month of March, Essar Steel has recorded highest ever monthly production of flat steel and achieved a capacity utilisation rate of 70 percent.

It has said in a statement that “At 5 lakh tonnes, it was up by 62 percent when compared to 3.08 lakh tonnes produced in the same month last year. This translates into a capacity utilisation of 70 percent. This is our highest ever monthly flat steel production.”

It further said that during the quarter ended March 31, 2016, Essar Steel has improved its performance substantially across all its units.
