Shares of Fino Payments Bank Limited touched a day’s high of Rs 152.30 on the NSE on Monday, 13 July, jumping as much as 12% intraday.

The rally followed a strong business update for June 2026, with the bank flagging robust growth across customer acquisition and its loan referral business.

The standout number came from the bank’s loan referral segment, which acts as a pilot for its proposed Small Finance Bank. Referral loan disbursals rose to around Rs 240 crore in June, up from Rs 68 crore a year earlier, more than three times higher.

The bank said this reflects the credit potential within its existing customer base.

Growth was not limited to lending. Fino Payments Bank added close to 3.1 lakh new accounts during the month, up 31% from 2.3 lakh a year ago. This took its total customer base to around 1.8 crore accounts.

Digital adoption also picked up pace. Active users on the FinoPay mobile app rose 38% year on year to about 8.4 lakh in June. Not every part of the business is firing equally.

The bank’s transaction segment, which covers remittances, micro ATMs and Aadhaar-enabled payments, continued to see pressure as customers shift towards UPI.

Fino said it is also deliberately focusing on higher quality merchants, which has weighed on volumes. Even so, the pace of decline has slowed compared with earlier months, a sign the business may be stabilising.

By 2:02 pm, the stock was trading at Rs 153.50, up 13.37% on the day. The stock remains down 43.37% for the year so far, though it has climbed sharply over the past week on the back of this update..
