Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a pre-budget stakeholder consultation with BJP leaders and industry professionals, business leaders, academicians and economists connected with the party. Spokespersons from 25 BJP state departments participated in the virtual talks, the party said in a statement.

The meeting also saw participation from national leaders, party general secretary Arun Singh, vice-president Baijayant Panda and spokesperson Gopal Krishan Agarwal. Some important think-tank members and presidents of BJP’s different sections also presented their views and suggestions. Approximately 20 written submissions were received and these will be put together and submitted to the Finance Minister, Agarwal said in a statement.
