Arup Roy Choudhury, the former NTPC Chairman has been appointed as first Chief Commissioner of the West Bengal Right to Public Service Commission.

According to a statement Choudhury was denied an extension of service by the Union government till his superannuation age of 60 years, was sworn in by the west Bengal Governor at Raj Bhawan today.
