Fortis Healthcare reports Q4 net loss at Rs 91 crore, board to consider SRL demerger

Fortis Healthcare has posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 90.86 crore for the quarter March 31, 2016, even as the board of the company has decided to consider demerger of diagnostics business.

Fortis Healthcare has said in a BSE filing that the company had posted a net loss after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates of Rs 17.53 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.

The consolidated total income from operations stood at Rs 1,088.29 crore for the quarter under review. During the same period of previous fiscal it has been Rs 1,063.73 crore.

The company has said in a separate filing that its “board has decided to assess and evaluate a demerger of the diagnostics business of the company in addition to other options that may be available to unlock and monetize value inherent in this business”.
