GitHub has launched Spark, a new tool that lets users build AI-powered apps by simply describing their idea in plain English.

It’s available in public preview for Copilot Pro+ subscribers and combines code generation, hosting, AI integration, and deployment in one platform.

Users can type something like “Make a movie recommendation site,” and Spark will create the full app—frontend, backend, and AI included—using Claude Sonnet 4.

Spark handles everything from setting up servers to managing hosting and APIs, so users don’t need any technical setup.

It also makes it easy to add AI features, such as chatbots or content summarizers, using models from OpenAI, Meta, xAI, and others, without managing API keys.

Apps can be published with a single click and are fully integrated with GitHub tools, including Copilot, Codespaces, GitHub Actions, and Dependabot, for seamless collaboration and updates.
