The company stated that the molecule has demonstrated effectiveness against both cancer cells and cancer stem cells. It is being explored as a potential treatment for cancers such as breast and prostate cancer.

Animal studies have shown encouraging safety and effectiveness. The molecule is now in Phase 1a clinical trials involving patients with advanced solid tumors and healthy volunteers.

Executive Director Sangeeta Srivastava called the patent validation a milestone. It is significant in the company’s push for original, high-quality research and global innovation.

The molecule is being developed by the company’s biotech arm, Sathgen Therapeutics, which focuses on cancer and antiviral treatments.

With this patent in place and clinical trials underway, the company is doubling down on research. It is addressing global health issues while continuing work in ethanol, bio-based chemicals, and renewable materials.
