Google has launched Wi-Fi router OnHub for home use

On Tuesday, Google has launched a Wi-Fi router, the latest move in the efforts by company to get ready for the connected home and to draw more users to its services.

The router named OnHub is cylinder shapped and can be ordered for $199.99 at online retailers including the Google Store, Amazon.com and Walmart.com.

In a blog post Google said, “The router comes with in-built antennas that will scan the airwaves to spot the fastest connection.”

The users will be able to prioritise a device with the router and can get the fastest Internet speeds for data-heavy activities such as downloading content or streaming a movie.
