Google India Launches Special Initiatives for Independence Day

To mark the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, Google has announced special initiatives for its products and services to deliver content and experiences created especially for the occasion throughout the anniversary year.

At the heart of the celebration is a new online collection called “India Ki Udaan”, available on Google Arts & Culture. The collection pays homage to India’s rich cultural history, including iconic moments from the past 75 years.

As part of the national celebrations, Google also announced a partnership with the Ministry of Culture focused on delivering informative online content showcasing the contributions of Indians and the evolution of India since 1947 in support of the government’s year-long “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” Meanwhile, Google’s popular Doodle4Google competition 2022, with the theme “In the next 25 years, my India will…”, is now open to students in grades 1-10.
