Shares of Hero MotoCorp Ltd surged 1% to touch a day’s high of Rs 5,612 on 16th October. This happened after the company announced on Wednesday (15th October) its official entry into the Spanish market. They did this through a distribution partnership with Noria Motos, a subsidiary of the ONEX Group.

The move marks Hero MotoCorp’s entry into its 50th international market. This strengthens its growing presence in Europe after recently debuting in Italy.

Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President at Hero MotoCorp, said the company’s entry into Spain is a key milestone in its global expansion. It further solidifies its position in one of the world’s most dynamic two-wheeler markets.

Under the partnership, Noria Motos will distribute Hero’s Euro 5+ compliant motorcycles through approximately 30 sales and service outlets across Spain. These outlets are expected to expand to over 50 by 2026. There will be a full network by 2028.

Dawinder Wahla Singh, Business Head at Noria Motos, stated that the partnership will introduce bikes such as the Hunk 440 and Xpulse 200 to Spanish riders. These bikes offer strong technology and value.

Hero MotoCorp is launching three flagship models in Spain: the Xpulse 200 4V, the Xpulse 200 4V Pro, and the Hunk 440.

The Hunk 440, priced at 3,488 euros (including VAT), is designed for both city commutes and touring. It features a 27 BHP engine, dual-channel ABS, a TFT display, and KYB suspension. The Xpulse 200 4V and Xpulse 200 4V Pro, priced at €2,592 and €2,792, respectively, combine on-road comfort with off-road performance. They offer three ABS modes, long-travel suspension, and Bluetooth-enabled navigation.

At 12:17 PM, the shares of Hero MotoCorp were trading 0.87% higher at Rs 5,585.50 on NSE.
