Hexaware Technologies shares jumped as much as 6% on Tuesday, touching a day high of Rs 527.20, after news of a new AI partnership.
What pushed the stock up was Hexaware’s announcement that it is joining the Project NANDA Fellowship, a three-month remote programme aimed at building open-source infrastructure for what’s being called the Internet of AI Agents.
Simply put, this is about creating the technical groundwork that lets AI agents from different systems find each other, verify who they are, and work together safely.
Project NANDA itself originated at the MIT Media Lab. Hexaware is taking part as both a sponsor and a participant, working under FAN, the broader programme that runs Project NANDA.
The first batch of fellows has more than 10 people, made up of Hexaware’s own engineers along with developers picked from a global applicant pool.
Everyone in the programme gets a stipend and direct mentorship while building code for live, open-source infrastructure.
For Hexaware, this ties into a bigger picture. The company already has its own AI delivery platform called Zerovity, and management has said this fellowship adds to that existing push into agentic AI.
Applications for the programme are open worldwide, with a priority deadline of 19 September.
On the company’s other recent moves, Hexaware fixed 5 May 2026 as the record date for an interim dividend of Rs 8.50 per share, one of several dividend payouts the company has made through the year.
As of 12:00 pm on Tuesday, Hexaware shares were trading at Rs 519.70, up 4.56% from the previous close, holding on to most of the day’s earlier gains.
