HFCL Secures Rs 2,167 Crore BharatNet Orders; Shares Fall 1.5%

The firm secured the order from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL).

Shares of HFCL Ltd fell by 1.5% after touching a day’s high of Rs 103.33 on 24th January, despite the company announcing yesterday that it had bagged advance purchase orders worth Rs 2,167.65 crore for the supply of optical fibre cables, telecom equipment, and related accessories for BharatNet Phase III in Uttar Pradesh.

The firm secured the order from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) for BharatNet Phase III in Uttar Pradesh (East and West) Telecom Circles.

The supply order will be completed in three years and includes 10 years of telecom equipment maintenance, with a one-year warranty.

The total cost of the order is Rs 2,167.65 crore, comprising Rs 1,736.83 crore for capital expenditure and Rs 430.82 crore for operating expenses.

Last week, HFCL Ltd received an advance work order (AWO) worth Rs 2,501.30 crore for BharatNet Phase III in Punjab Telecom Circle.

This contract, awarded by BSNL, involves designing, constructing, and maintaining the middle-mile network under the DBOM model, with a three-year construction phase.

At 10:19 AM, the shares of HFCL Ltd were trading 1.49% lower at Rs 99.52 on NSE.
