Highway Infrastructure Bags Rs 328-Crore NHAI Contract; Shares Rally 4.75%

Shares of Highway Infrastructure Ltd rallied 4.75% to touch a day’s high of Rs 62.13 on 9th January after the company said it has secured an order worth Rs 328 crore from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), marking a significant contract win in the highways operations segment.

The Rs 328 crore order involves operating and collecting user fees at the Kaza Fee Plaza. This is located on the Chilakaluripet–Vijayawada stretch of National Highway-16 in Andhra Pradesh.

The highway section spans 82.5 km, and the contract was awarded through a competitive bidding process.

Under the agreement, Highway Infrastructure will also handle the upkeep and maintenance of nearby toilet blocks, including replenishing consumables.

The contract is valid for one year, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Highway Infrastructure signed the formal agreement on 8th January 2026, following receipt of the letter of acceptance in December 2025.

The company is set to take over operations at the fee plaza from 23rd January, 2026.

A domestic entity has awarded the order. The company said it is not a related-party transaction, with no promoter or group interest involved.

At 12:24 PM, shares of Highway Infrastructure were trading 2.01% higher at Rs 59.25 on NSE.
