ICICI Direct Customers Can Now Invest in US Markets

ICICI Securities, a subsidiary of ICICI Bank has joined hands with Interactive Brokers LLC, a 42-year-old US-based Nasdaq-listed online brokerage, for offering its ICICI Direct clients a facility to invest in different stocks, ETFs, mutual funds of US markets through a complete digital experience.
Nearly 48 lakh customers of ICICI Securities can now diversify their investments US Markets and trade in stocks, ETFs, and fixed income products. ICICI direct account holders can open their account digitally through ICICI direct website (www.icicidirect.com) and can choose from the available subscription plans according to their trading preferences.
ICICI Securities said, US Markets allows fractional ownership of shares and therefore small retail investors can also trade as there is no minimum ticket size. Vijay Chandok, MD and CEO of ICICI Securities said, “Investing in a matured and well-regulated market like the US will provide exposure to well-known and well tracked international companies. We feel it is the right time for offering such facilities to our customers and we are happy to join hands with Interactive Brokers.”
Ankit Shah, Director of Interactive Brokers said the alliance with ICICI Securities will help Indian clients to invest in the stocks, ETFs, bonds and mutual funds as, many Indians are interested for investing in the companies and brands that they often use and, Interactive Brokers’ award-winning platform and execution capability will making it happen.
