India has paid USD 37.64 million to the United Nations Regular Budget for 2025, joining 35 member states on the “honour roll” for timely and full payments.
As of 31st January, 2025, these member states fulfilled their regular budget assessments within the 30-day due period, per UN financial regulations, according to the UN Committee on Contributions.
Stephane Dujarric, Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, acknowledged the countries on the “honour roll” and expressed gratitude to India, saying, “we thank our friends in India.”
India has consistently maintained its reputation for timely and full payments to the UN.
UN General Assembly President Philemon Yang, who will visit India from 4th to 8th February, recently commended the country for fulfilling its obligations by paying full and timely dues.
