Shares of a small-cap company that manufactures electricity and distribution transformers, Indo Tech Transformers Ltd, surged 3% on 6 August after the company announced receiving a new domestic work order worth Rs. 62.93 crore.

Indo-Tech Transformers Limited has received a letter of award (LOA) dated 4 August 2025, for the supply of six 175 MVA, 220/33-33kV transformers. The entire order value is Rs. 62.93 crore (without taxes) and was given by a domestic firm. The execution timeline involves the delivery of four transformers in July 2026 and two in October 2026.

Indo Tech Transformers Limited, established in 1976 and headquartered in Tamil Nadu, is a significant transformer manufacturer with over 56,000 units in operation in India and internationally. The company specialises in power, distribution, and special application transformers, with a particular emphasis on transmission, generation, renewables, and core sectors such as steel and cement.
