IndusInd Bank Limited dropped sharply on 3 June, sliding to a day low of Rs 884.05 on NSE, after reports emerged of a whistleblower complaint seeking a probe into alleged insider trading and governance failures at the private lender. The NSE separately broadcast a news verification notice the same morning, confirming the exchange had sought clarification from the bank.

The complaint was reportedly sent to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Reserve Bank of India. 

According to the whistleblower complaint cited in media reports, the allegations included manipulation of financial records, evergreening of microfinance loans, suppression of audit findings and attempts to conceal irregularities. 

The complaint, did not specify when the alleged irregularities took place.

The bank had no immediate comment on the allegations. The fresh complaint arrives at a sensitive time for IndusInd. In March 2025, the bank disclosed a Rs 2,000 crore discrepancy in its derivatives accounting. 

The disclosure was followed by leadership changes, with CEO Sumant Kathpalia and deputy CEO Arun Khurana later exiting and Rajiv Anand taking over as chief executive in August 2025.

The developments come as the bank continues to address issues arising from the derivatives-accounting discrepancy disclosed in March 2025.

At 12:14 pm on 3 June, IndusInd Bank was trading down 2.81% at Rs 886.90 on NSE. The stock’s 52-week high is Rs 968.85, hit on 26 February 2026, and its 52-week low is Rs 710.60, touched on 26 September 2025.
