Info Edge shares hit a day high of ₹1,264.90 as Naukri’s parent firm reported a 27% jump in operating profit and declared a ₹3 dividend.

The company, which also runs Jeevansathi and 99acres, shared its July to September numbers on Wednesday.

Consolidated revenue rose 12% to Rs 904 crore, and net profit jumped 52% to Rs 480 crore from Rs 316 crore a year ago.

Operating profit, known as EBITDA, rose 27% to Rs 354 crore. In plain terms, the firm made more profit on every rupee of sales, as its margin improved by 4.5 percentage points to 39.2%.

Recruitment, the biggest business, led the growth. Billings, the value of invoices raised to customers, grew 12.6% in the quarter and 14.9% in the first half.

Revenue from the business rose 13.3%. The company said the timing of customer renewals held back quarterly growth.

Hitesh Oberoi, Managing Director and CEO, said AI and data products now bring in a high single-digit share of recruitment revenue.

They run at an annualised rate of about Rs 240 crore, based on the second quarter. Other businesses grew too.

Property portal 99acres lifted billings 21.2%, up from 16.5% in the previous quarter, and generated Rs 22.1 crore in cash from operations against Rs 2.3 crore a year earlier.

In matchmaking, Jeevansathi and Aisle together grew billings 23.1%, with Aisle up 40%.

Shareholders get a Rs 3 interim dividend per share. The record date is 6 November, and the company will pay it on or after 23 November.

At 13:23 pm, Info Edge traded at Rs 1,253.50 on NSE, up Rs 37.20 or 3.06%. The stock is still down about 6.8% this year, and its market value stands near Rs 81,280 crore.
