ISRO Scientist Anil Kumar Elected VP of International Astronautical Federation

ISRO announced that it has flight-tested a fuel cell-based power system to assess its operation.

According to ISRO, senior scientist Anil Kumar has been elected vice-president of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF).


Anil Kumar serves as the Deputy Director of ISRO’s Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC).
Founded in 1951, the IAF is the world’s leading space advocacy agency, with 433 members in 72 countries. The national space agency noted that the IAF actively encourages spaceflight development for peaceful purposes and supports disseminating space-related scientific and technological information.


Bengaluru-based ISRO said in a tweet: “It (the election of Anil Kumar) is an endorsement of ISRO’s space efforts to help foster international cooperation.”
