Nirupama Rao, the former Foreign Secretary, has been appointed as an Additional Independent Director of the diversified group ITC Ltd.
According to the company the appointment would be effective from April 8.
ITC has informed to the BSE that “The board of directors of the company appointed Nirupama Rao, IFS (Retd), as an Additional Independent Director of the company with effect from April 8, 2016.”
It further said that the appointment would be subject to the approval of the members at its next general meeting.
