Kalpataru Projects Bags Rs 2,349 Crore Orders; Shares Slump

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL)
The company has highlighted strong demand across both business segments.

Shares of Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) were trading in red and 3% lower on 21 October despite securing new engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) orders worth approximately Rs 2,349 crore, taking its total order inflows for FY27 beyond Rs 22,000 crore.

The latest contracts cover two major domestic business areas:

  1. Power Transmission and Distribution (T&D).
  2. Buildings and Factories (B&F).

These projects add to KPIL’s order pipeline as India continues to invest in power infrastructure, grid expansion and construction. The company has highlighted strong demand across both business segments, which remain important contributors to its growth.

With the latest wins, KPIL’s year-to-date order inflows have crossed Rs 22,000 crore in the current financial year. Earlier in October, the company secured orders worth around Rs 2,225 crore, including projects in its domestic and international power transmission business.

Managing Director and CEO Manish Mohnot said the new contracts strengthen the company’s position in India’s infrastructure sector and reflect its engineering capabilities and project execution record.

KPIL operates across power transmission, buildings and factories, water supply, railways, oil and gas pipelines, urban mobility, highways and airports. The company has a presence in 75 countries and reported revenue of Rs 27,143 crore in FY26, with more than 250 projects under execution across over 30 countries.

The latest order strengthens KPIL’s revenue visibility and supports its growth outlook for FY27. However, the company’s ability to convert its growing order pipeline into revenue and profits will depend on timely project execution, cost management and operating margins.

At 12:25 pm, the shares of Kalpataru Projects International were trading 3.42% lower at Rs 1,300.70 on NSE.
