Kalpataru Projects shares hit a day high of Rs 1,424.80 on 28 September, up 2%, after the firm won a major gas pipeline order in the UAE.
The order comes as a Letter of Award, a formal notice that the company has been picked for the job. Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) told exchanges the work covers engineering, procurement and construction, known as EPC.
In plain terms, KPIL will plan, source materials for and build the pipeline. The company tags the project as ‘Major’, a label it uses for orders valued above Rs 4,000 crore.
It did not reveal the exact contract value. It said the order came in the normal course of business. Managing Director and CEO Manish Mohnot said the win backs the company’s record in global oil and gas.
He added that it reflects the firm’s technical skills and its ability to scale up work abroad. That makes it the second order update in days.
Days earlier, KPIL said it had secured fresh orders worth around Rs 2,025 crore. These came across power transmission and distribution, buildings and factories, and oil and gas, in India and overseas.
Based in Mumbai, the EPC major works in 75 countries and builds everything from power lines and buildings to water systems, railways and pipelines.
In the April-June quarter (Q1 FY27), its net profit rose 45.85% from a year earlier to Rs 311.53 crore. Its order book stood at a record Rs 66,607 crore on 30 June.
At 10:22 am, KPIL shares were trading at Rs 1,384.00 on NSE, down 0.52% from the previous close of Rs 1,391.20.
The stock opened at Rs 1,420.00 and has since touched a low of Rs 1,368.00. It sits about 6.5% below its 52-week high of Rs 1,479.60 set on 23 June, though it is still up 15.12% so far this year.
