Kargil Vijay Diwas: PM Modi Pays Respect to Martyrs

PM Narendra Modi, on Sunday, censured Pakistan for the Kargil War. He said that the neighbouring nation had attempted to betray India when India was making efforts to have cordial ties with the country.
On July 26, the same date 21 years back the Indian Military had won the war which is very important as, India could never forget the circumstances under which the Kargil War was battled because Pakistan had made great plans to capture an Indian Territory and this special day is celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas (Kargil Victory Day) said, Modi.
He also pointed by the monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat that, this war was an attempt by Pakistan to stab India in the back. India was trying to maintain good relations with Pakistan that time but it is said that there are always people who try to harm those who want to be good with them and that was a time when the entire world has seen the strength of Indian Armed Forces. Modi said, “I request everyone to remember those who were martyred in the war and remember the family members of these martyrs on this day.”
Every one of us should always remember that the vision of our country is to be united and the collective strength of the nation helps in increasing the strength of our soldiers. But, sometimes we post certain things on social media which has an adverse effect on the strength of our nation knowing that also we promote it, which is to be avoided. The time has come when every one of us should decide our roles and make decisions accordingly while remembering the soldiers of the country who are guarding us under adverse conditions, said Narendra Modi.
