Shares of KEC International Ltd gained more than 5% in early trade on September 15 after the infrastructure EPC company announced new orders worth Rs 1,303 crore across its businesses. 

The largest part of the new business comes from KEC’s Transmission & Distribution (T&D) division. The company has secured an order to build a 400 kV transmission line in Northern India for an existing private-sector client. The project will help evacuate power from a hydroelectric plant.

KEC has also won multiple 380 kV transmission line orders in Saudi Arabia, strengthening its presence in the Middle East. In the Americas, the company secured orders for the supply of towers, hardware and poles. Its Cables & Conductors business also received orders from customers in India and overseas markets.

The latest wins take KEC International’s year-to-date order intake to more than Rs 7,600 crore. According to the company, the strong pipeline of opportunities and sustained demand across key markets should support growth in its T&D business. 

The new contracts also add to the company’s geographic diversification, with projects spread across India, Saudi Arabia and the Americas.

KEC International, part of the RPG Group, operates across infrastructure segments including power transmission and distribution, civil construction, transportation, renewables, oil and gas pipelines, and cables and conductors. The company has a presence across more than 110 countries.

At around 11:16 AM on September 15, KEC International shares were trading at Rs 411.50 on the NSE, up 1.24%.
