LCC Projects’ JV won a Rs 717.46 crore order to build an artificial reservoir in Churu, Rajasthan, the company told exchanges on Friday.
LCC Projects Limited disclosed the order in a filing on 6 November. The letter of acceptance came from the Additional Chief Engineer’s office at Yamuna Water Zone in Jaipur.
The value does not include GST. The contract sits with NEC-LCC, a joint venture in which the company holds 30%.
That works out to roughly Rs 215.24 crore of the total. In a joint venture, two or more firms pool their skills and split the work, costs and earnings in an agreed ratio.
The reservoir will come up at Dhanoti, as part of the Yamuna Water Project. It is labelled Reservoir-A within the Hansiyawas Reservoir Complex in Churu district.
Think of it as a very large water tank for the region. Construction is set to take 24 months.
After that, the venture stays on for 10 years to run and maintain the site, which means the job keeps generating work long after the last brick is laid and the construction crews have moved elsewhere.
It has been a busy few weeks for the company, which listed on NSE and BSE on 17 September after an IPO priced at Rs 146 a share that raised Rs 427.14 crore.
On 24 September, it emerged as the lowest bidder for the Chhoti Kalisindh irrigation project in Rajasthan, valued at Rs 653.34 crore.
Then, on 3 November, it disclosed a Rs 703 crore letter of intent from the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board for a water supply scheme.
That order also excludes GST and carries 10 years of upkeep.
All three sit in water infrastructure, the firm’s main line of work.
