Shares of Lenskart Solutions Limited slipped on Thursday, 11 June, after an ADIA-linked trust sold a chunk of its holding in the eyewear retailer through a block deal worth Rs 1,960 crore on NSE. The stock touched a day low of Rs 496.60 before recovering.

Platinum Jasmine A 2018 Trust, an investment vehicle of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, offloaded shares at Rs 508.50 apiece, the price confirmed by NSE block deal data. 

The offer had a floor price of Rs 486 per share, set at roughly a 2.8% discount to Wednesday’s closing price of Rs 500.15 on BSE. IIFL Capital Services acted as the sole placement agent.

Worth noting for retail investors: since these were existing shares, the sale proceeds go entirely to the selling shareholder. 

Lenskart the company receives nothing from this transaction. The trust will also be subject to a 90-day lock-up on its remaining holding. Before the deal, Platinum Jasmine held 20.98 crore shares, equal to a 12.08% stake as of March 2026. After the block deal, its holding is estimated to fall to around 9.8% of the company’s equity. It remains one of Lenskart’s largest public shareholders despite the reduction.

This is the second big block deal on the counter recently. SoftBank’s SVF II Lightbulb (Cayman) Ltd had earlier sold 5.65 crore shares worth around Rs 2,873 crore at Rs 508.55 per share. 

On the business side, Lenskart’s India operations reported 33% revenue growth in FY26, supported by 21% same-store sales growth.

At 10:21 am on 11 June, shares of Lenskart Solutions were trading up by 0.78% at Rs 504.05 on NSE, well above the IPO issue price of Rs 403.
