Larsen & Toubro (L&T)‘s electrical and automation business has got a contract worth Rs 500 crore from Qatar Rail Company for phase 1 of Doha metro.

The company has said in a statement that L&T Electrical & Automation FZE, the competency centre for L&T’s automation business in UAE, has bagged the Rs 500 crore contract from Qatar Rail Company (QRAIL).

The work scope of the order includes supply, installation, testing, integration, commissioning and 5 years’ maintenance of a network-wide Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS) for 37 stations.
