On Tuesday, the engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro has posted 84.4 percent increase in net profit to Rs 1,435 crore for the quarter ended September 30.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 778 crore in the same quarter of last year.

The company has reported sales of Rs 25,011 crore for the September quarter as against Rs 23,123 crore in the year-ago quarter.

The EBITDA was increased 7.84 percent YoY at Rs 2,297 crore as compared with Rs 2,130 crore in the year ago quarter.
