L&T Shares Hit Day’s High After ₹15,000 Crore ADNOC Order

L&T
L&T surges after the company won a ₹15,000 crore offshore order from ADNOC.

L&T shares hit ₹4,070 on Monday, August 17, the stock’s high for the day, after the company won a ₹15,000 crore offshore order from ADNOC.

It gave up some of that gain by the afternoon but stayed in the green. The order is from ADNOC Offshore, for a project in the Middle East.

L&T’s arm, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH) Offshore, will handle the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of multiple offshore facilities.

Most of the fabrication will be done at L&T’s own yards in India rather than shipped out to third parties, which usually works out cheaper for the company.

Parthasarathi Chatterjee, who heads LTEH Offshore, said the project involves subsea infrastructure and fabrication work at a scale few competitors can match in the region.

L&T has been on a run. Since July 20 it has announced 10 large orders, including two others above ₹15,000 crore.

Just days earlier, on August 13, it bagged a mega order from Together AI to build an AI data centre in Chennai.

All this comes on the back of a strong June quarter, where order inflow rose 14% to ₹1.08 lakh crore and profit grew 14% to ₹4,123 crore.

At 14:45 pm, L&T was trading around ₹4,059, up about 0.1% on the day.

It’s down nearly 2% for the year so far, but up roughly 6% over the past month as these order wins have added up.
