Shares of LTIMindtree Ltd are trading flat on 7th August after touching a day’s high of Rs 5,089.50, despite the company informing the exchanges that the Central Board of Direct Taxes has awarded it the PAN 2.0 project worth Rs 792 crore.

LTIMindtree has been chosen to revamp India’s PAN infrastructure under the PAN 2.0 project, a key Government-to-Citizen (G2C) initiative. The project aims to merge all PAN and TAN services into a single digital platform. This will make it simpler for citizens and businesses to access and manage their financial identity systems.

As part of the deal, LTIMindtree will design, build, and operate the entire technology backbone — including infrastructure, security, automation, and ongoing operations. The company will deliver a comprehensive, digital AI-driven ecosystem covering the entire PAN as a single service lifecycle. This will include application and validation phases to printing and dispatch, all on a user-friendly platform.

According to LTIMindtree CEO Venu Lambu, the project strengthens their partnership with the Indian government. Also, it supports the goal of building a future-ready public digital infrastructure.

The rollout of PAN 2.0 is planned over the next 18 months. It is expected to enhance the efficiency and transparency of India’s tax identity system.

At 12:23 PM, the shares of LTIMindtree Ltd were trading 0.69% lower at Rs 5,001 on NSE.
