Lupin has launched a generic paxil drug that is used in the treatment of major depressive order in the US market.
It has said in a BSE filing that the company “announced today the launch of generic paxil CR extended release tablets, 12.5 mg, 25 mg and 37.5 mg, having received an approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) earlier.”
It further said that the drug has been used in treating of major depressive, panic, social anxiety and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
