Lupin has posted a net loss of Rs.783.5 crore, for the quarter ended March 31,2018.

The company in the year ago period had reported a net profit of Rs.383.6 crore. The sales fell 2.8% to Rs.4,179 crore. The company took a write-off of Rs.1464.3 crore on Gavis. Consolidated revenue for the quarter fell 5.2% to Rs.4,033.80 crore, from Rs.4,253 crore reported for the same quarter last year.

Margin for the quarter expanded 40 basis points to 17.6%, from 17.2% in the year-ago quarter. EBITDA for Q4 rose 3.3% to Rs.853.60 crore, from Rs.826.70 crore in the year-ago period.
