Shares of Mach Travel Solutions Limited jumped on 12 June, touching a day high of Rs 154.70 on the BSE. The stock gained around 6% after promoter and director Amit Bhatia raised his shareholding through a series of open market purchases, a development disclosed to exchanges this week.

Bhatia bought 2.33 lakh shares between 2 June and 10 June, paying around Rs 3.5 crore in total. 

His most recent purchase was 34,800 shares worth Rs 52.08 lakh on 10 June. After these transactions, his total holding climbed to 1.40 crore shares, taking his stake from 65.60% to 66.71%.

Promoter purchases are often viewed positively by investors because they can signal management’s confidence in the company’s prospects.

The financial results add to that picture.

Mach Travel Solutions reported a standalone net profit of Rs 16.59 crore for FY26, up 17.1% from Rs 14.16 crore a year earlier. 

Revenue from operations came in at Rs 216.93 crore, compared to Rs 235.75 crore in FY25. Revenue fell, but the company tightened costs enough to grow its bottom line regardless.

On a consolidated basis, net profit came in at Rs 15.06 crore for FY26, up from Rs 14.17 crore in FY25. Total consolidated income stood at Rs 233.29 crore for the year.

The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 0.50 per share for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM.

The stock had already been on a strong run before Friday. It had gained 39.5% over the past three months and 33.3% year to date heading into this session.

At 14:26 on 12 June, Mach Travel Solutions was trading up 3.36% at Rs 150.90 on the BSE.
