Maruti Suzuki Driving School Aims to Train Around 2.5 million People By 2025

The country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, said that its professional driving training schools had reached the 500 milestones across the country to train about 2.5 million people by 2025. Established in 2005, the Maruti Suzuki Driving School (MSDS) currently operates 500 state-of-the-art driving training schools in 242 cities, providing driving training to more than 1.7 million customers, the company said in a statement.


“The MSDS network has around 1,500 certified and qualified expert trainers who have been teaching safe driving training. By 2025, we aim to expand the Maruti Suzuki driving school network and train more than 2.5 million people in premium driving skills.


He said the core objective of launching MSDS was to teach customers safe driving training and road behaviour to make Indian roads safer, adding: “Over the years, it has introduced the global standard for providing quality driving training and has established New benchmarks.”


MSIL said the company established the schools in partnership with dealers to provide driving courses designed with theoretical and practical training based on international best driving practices. It added that in addition to a comprehensive knowledge overview of basic vehicle maintenance and emergency handling techniques, well-planned training sessions educate customers on all aspects of proper road behaviour, defensive driving, traffic rules and regulations.
