Maruti Suzuki Q1 Report; Net Profit Increases 2.5 Folds

Maruti Suzuki automaker reported a 2.5 times jump in the June quarter to Rs 2,485 crore.

Maruti Suzuki automaker reported a 2.5 times jump in the June quarter to Rs 2,485 crore against the Rs 1,012.8 crore in the same quarter for the previous fiscal year.

However, compared against the Q4FY23, the net profit declined by 6.3%.

The company’s standalone operating revenue in the June quarter grew by 22% to Rs 32,326.9 crore against the Rs 26,499 crore reported in the year-ago quarter.

The steep climb in the quarter was in regard to the large sales volume, cost reduction efforts, improved realisation, and higher non-operating income.

Talking about the sales unit, the automobile maker sold 498,030 units for the June quarter, which was a 6.4% increase from the year-ago period.

The company said in a statement that due to shortage of electronic components during the quarter resulted in 28,000 vehicles not being produced.

The pending orders of customers stood at 3,55,000 vehicles at the end of the quarter.

The company is making efforts to serve these orders fast.
