A strategic partnership has been announced by Microsoft and Flipkart for providing consumers in India with a better online shopping service.

Flipkart Group CEO Binny Bansal and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced the news at an event in Bangalore.

Flipkart will adopt Microsoft Azure as its exclusive public cloud platform as a first step in the collaboration between the two companies.

Satya Nadella, CEO, Microsoft has said that “At Microsoft, we aim to empower every Indian and every Indian organisation with technology and key to this is forging strategic partnerships with innovative companies like Flipkart.”
